The Seeding Process
All Coaches and Directors should continue to submit, or update, the online
SEEDING REQUEST FORM for their teams to ensure accurate seeding going into the tournament.
All teams start play on Wednesday, June 27. All 12s and 13s teams, along with the top 32 teams in the 14s-18s will conclude play on Saturday, June 30. The remaining teams will conclude play on Sunday, July 1.
For the 14s -18s, we pre-select 24 teams, anticipating that they will be top seeds. We select 16 of the 24 seeds on April 25 (after the 3rd SCVA Mandatory) from the seeding information we've received from teams entered in AES on April 23. The remaining 8 pre-selections are announced on May 10 from teams entered on AES after Junior Nationals selections are announced.
Should any of the 24 teams selected above not play into the Top 32 by the end of play on June 29, their final divisional pool play would normally be on July 1. However, if they prefer to still end their play on June 30, their final divisional pool will be moved from July 1. The 24 pre-selected teams will need to notify the Festival Seeding Director at
volleyball.festival.seeding@gmail.com by June 11 if they prefer to finish on June 30, no matter how they finish in the competition.
The Top 24 pre-selected teams per age division will NOT necessarily be a top 32 seed when the tournament starts. That is determined by the final results in the regions and other teams that enter the Festival after the selection dates. The primary purpose of this list is to give as many of our seeded teams the chance to finalize their travel plans as early as possible. Final Seeding, including 12s & 13s, will be announced at the Coaches' meetings before the tournament's start.

- May 9 - Final day to enter on AES and/or submit updated SEEDING REQUEST FORM for Top 24 pre-selection.
- May 10 - Additional 8 top seeds in 14s-18s age divisions pre-selected.
- June 11 - Deadline for Top 24 pre-selected teams to email volleyball.festival.seeding@gmail.com of last day of play preference.
- June 12 - Final day to submit updated SEEDING REQUEST FORM for final seeding.
- June 25 & 26 - Final Top 32 seeds announced at Coaches' Meetings
