PLAYING SCHEDULE

*** Day 1 Playing Schedules will post on AES by end of day Tuesday, June 27) ***

  • AM Wave (8am Thur-Sat): 12s, 14s, 17/18s
  • PM Wave (3pm Thur-Sat): 13s, 15s, 16s
  • All teams play at least 2 game on Sunday, July 2. Click HERE for the planned event schedule.

FORMAT

  • Festival Format. All teams will play on all 4 days of the event.
  • All teams will play between 11 and 14 matches, unless they've elected to not play all days of the event.
  • First two rounds are pool play, Day 3-4 are either pool play or bracket play depending now the team has performed. AM wave teams should be done by 1pm unless they are in their age division finals; PM wave teams should be done by 6pm unless they are in their age division finals.
  • Everyone plays in the Phoenix Convention Center. We intend to have Day 1 playing schedules  on AES by end of day Tuesday, June 27, 2017.

ONSITE TEAM CHECK IN

Team Check In is in the Phoenix Convention Center, West Meeting Room 106a.
  • Tuesday, June 27, 2-8pm; Wednesday, June 28, 9am - 6pm
  • Late check in Thursday, June 29: 7am-2pm (must be at least an hour before you play or ref).
  • Complete LATE CHECK-IN FORM to notify us is you will not check-in until Saturday.
At Team Check in you need to bring:
- A Medical Release Form (USAV form is ok) for all Players
- A copy of your AES roster with AAU numbers verified (use AAU Import quick link on AES)
- If AAU numbers are not showing verified, bring one of these three forms of verification:
*AAU membership card copy; or 
*AAU Club Listing (generated from AAU website Club Director Account); or 
*AAU Team roster (generated from AAU website Club Director Account).

Once checked in, you will receive a Team Bag with goodies and Team Credentials. 

A Club Director or Team Parent can perform the Team Check-In for one or more teams as long as they have all the proper documentation.

The Festival Fiesta Classic is a licensed AAU event.  All participating clubs, athletes and non-athlete adults on a team roster must be AAU members.

SEEDING REQUEST

If you are a team outside the Arizona Region or haven't played in any events where your results are available in AES, please fill out our SEEDING REQUEST FORM to help us properly seed your team into the event. Forms submitted by end of day Sunday, June 16, 2017 will be considered. We intend to have Day 1 schedules available on AES by end of day Tuesday, June 27. 

PRACTICE TIME REQUEST

Request practice time HERE for Tuesday, June 27 (4-7:45pm) or Wednesday, June 28 ) in the Lower Level Exhibit Halls at the Phoenix Convention Center. Practice slots are 45 minutes. Practice balls and carts can be requested on the form. Check in 15 min prior to your scheduled time at the Lower Level Exhibit Hall Tournament Desk.

BALL REQUEST

Out of town teams can request a bag of 6 practice balls HERE to avoid having to bag check balls during travel. If you only need balls for the practice sessions on June 27 or 28, DO NOT fill out this form as balls will be available at the Lower Level Tournament Desk. Balls are available on a first come, first serve basis.  We will confirm your request by June 8. Balls can be picked up at the Phoenix Convention Center Room 102-A of the West Building.  A credit card number and copy of your Driver's License will be taken. $50 per ball will be charged to the credit card for any balls not returned at the end of the tournament. 

AGE WAIVERS

A max of two Age Waivers are allowed per team. For more details or to submit an online Age Waiver Request.
  • 12 Club: Born on or after September 1, 2004
  • 13 Club: Born on or after September 1, 2003
  • 14 Club & 13/14 Open: Born on or after September 1, 2002
  • 15 Club: Born on or after September 1, 2001
  • 16 Club & 15/16 Open: Born on or after September 1, 2000
  • 17/18 Club: Born on or after September 1, 1998 or born on or after September 1, 1997 AND is a high school student (12th grade or below) during some part of the current academic year.

PLAYING SITES

All matches will be played on Sportcourts at the Phoenix Convention Center.

OFFICIAL BALL

Spalding is the Official Ball of the 2017 Volleyball Festival. We will use the TF-Lite for 12u and the TF-VB3 for other divisions.
